Crowned Heads Serie E Cigar Review: Loud, Bold, and Rock-Driven
The Serie E from Crowned Heads is inspired by Eddie Van Halen’s iconic “Eruption” guitar solo — and the cigar lives up to that name. It’s an all-Nicaraguan blend with serious attitude, built at Tabacalera Pichardo.
First impressions? Dark, oily wrapper with a slight tooth. Firm pack and solid weight in hand. The pre-light draw hints at spice and black coffee. Once lit, it roars out of the gate.
Crowned Heads is a phenomenal up and coming brand with great quality control.
Flavor-wise, the Serie E comes in hot. The first third is a blast of black pepper, charred wood, and espresso. In the second third, the intensity dials back just enough to introduce cocoa, leather, and some red pepper flake. The final third finishes strong — earthy, peppery, and dry with a hint of sweetness on the edges.
It is worth a try for sure. On occasion.
If you buy it from the right place, right price... You will enjoy it. Do not overpay for this stick.
Strength: Medium to full-bodied
Burn time: Around 75–85 minutes
Best for: Evening smokes, after a steak dinner, or paired with rye, rum or scotch
Final Thoughts: The Serie E isn’t subtle — it’s a cigar for those who like their smokes loud and unapologetic. It’s rich, well-constructed, and full of Nicaraguan fire. Not an everyday stick, but when you’re in the mood for bold flavor and a kick, this one delivers.
I will have to say, it is pretty close to Cuban aroma.
The churchill size is perfect for smoking a nice cigar on the golf course.
Rating: 88/100
